Bee Friendly area at school
Neyland
09/07/2019
The front of Neyland school now has a bee-friendly area, with seeds paid for by the COOP, and the work done by Neyland and District Environment Enthusiasts. The children from the eco-committee designed posters to mark the area. The winner received a home-made bee hotel (made by Councillor Pollard-Powell) and £5 voucher donated by the COOP and all of them received £5 for their effort. The pictures were laminated and fixed to stakes by the mayor, Councillor McGarvie and hammered in by Councillor Pollard-Powell. The bee area is a work in progress. It currently has a lot of clover, which is loved by many bees.
